On Inner Demons; in two parts

i.
this possession is soul abortion,
daily strangulations
and slow-drip poisoning
wasting life from me.
hollow marrow from bones
siphon blood from vessels
hawk my organs;
deplete me
to crystalline exoskeleton

ii.
you are
the carnation in the bloom of a flush,
the unsteadiness of fingers,
the terror in a head rush.
you are blood pulsing anxious.
just when I think I understand you,
you bare fang to this contentment.
my crafty attacker,
I take you in slow breaths.
you are a wild thing
roving the plains of my cortex.

prey hunted
from the inside:
parasite.
